Take your virus checking disk and the original disks of all your programs and lock the floppies. Click on the disk below to see how to lock them. Locked floppies cannot be changed, even by a virus. Make sure you have master copies of any shareware or public domain programs you may own. Current viruses damage applications and you must be able to replace these. The idea is to have a complete set of applications on locked floppies that are not used, and not part of any hard drive backup. (Viruses get backed up too, you know).
